Want to get involved with your community and help serve the people in it? Why not consider becoming a Police Support Volunteer with Sussex Police.

Volunteering is fun and challenging and offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills and experiences, try things you've always wanted to do and learn more about how the Force works. Plus, you'll be rewarded with a diverse and supportive environment that can bring personal benefits and a huge sense of community involvement.

Police Support Volunteers are extremely important to the Force - helping to develop Neighbourhood Policing and, therefore, helping Sussex Police engage and interact more effectively with local communities.

We advertise all of our volunteer roles as and when they become available. If there are no current vacancies but you would like to know more about volunteering please contact the Force Neighbourhood Watch and Volunteer Manager, Mark Rendall on 101, ext 40111.

Southwater Police Office is currently looking for two volunteers to join their team. Their office is run very successfully by a team of twenty volunteers who dedicate their time and skills to support the Community, liaising between the Public and the Police.

The volunteer role consists of answering the telephone, data entry on the Police computer, a point of contact on the front counter, filing and relaying information from the public to the Neighbourhood Policing Teams. If you would like to know more about the role please contact the Southwater Supervisor David Scott on 01403 734417       david.scott.01@sussex.pnn.police.uk or Mark Rendall on 01273 404868 mark.rendall@sussex.pnn.police.uk

If your query relates to the East Sussex Policing Division only ( this does not include Brighton and Hove), we do have a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator who can assist with any questions. Please contact George Gibbs on 101 Ext 67725.
