 • You can purchase or hire firearms and ammunition

 • You can make a will.
 • You can act as executor of a person's will.
 • You can go to an 18 Certificate film at the cinema.
 • You can bet.
 • You can purchase fireworks.
 • You can purchase houses and land.
 • You can apply for a mortgage.
 • You can sue and be sued.
 • You can go abroad to sing, play or perform professionally.
 • You can sit on a jury.
 • You can get a tattoo.
 • You can purchase alcohol.
 • You can consume alcohol in a pub.

 • You can leave home without your parent's or guardian's consent.

At age 21 years:
 • You can stand in a parliamentary or local election.
 • You can drive any mechanically propelled vehicle (providing relevant tests have been passed).
 • You can hold a licence to sell alcohol.
 • You can adopt a child.
