Sussex Police is part of the East Sussex Safer Communities Partnership which involves a number of agencies who work together to help make East Sussex safer.

In December 2009 the partnership revised its East Sussex Alcohol Harm Reduction Strategy. The strategy's overall aim is for partner agencies to work together to minimise the health harm, violence, crime and anti-social behaviour associated with alcohol for individuals, families and communities.
