Brighton & Hove LGBT
Sussex Police work closely with the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) community to promote equality and encourage the reporting of homophobic related hate crime.
Brighton & Hove LGBT Liaison Team
Brighton & Hove have a dedicated LGBT Liaison Team who focus on this specific part of the community. You can watch their video blogs to find out a bit about what they do and contact them in a number of ways.
Reporting homophobic hate crime
We believe that every member of that community has the right to live without fear of harassment and abuse. If you are a victim of homophobic hate crime, you can report it:
- online, through the True Vision website
- by calling us on 101.
Call 999 in an emergency or if a crime is in progress.
Pride in Brighton & Hove
Every year, we take an active role in the Pride celebrations to highlight our support of the community. Find out more about our involvement with Pride 2011 and watch videos of Deputy Chief Constable Giles York talking from last year's celebrations.
