Women's Aid: The key national charity working to end domestic violence against women and children. They support a network of over 500 domestic and sexual violence services across the UK. They run the National Domestic Violence Helpline  in partnership with Refuge. Call 0808 2000 247.

Rise: (Refuge, information, support, education).  Provides a helpline, advice, crisis intervention, residential refuge and Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVAs). They also offer ongoing one-to-one support, group work programmes and counselling for women children, young people and families. 

Refuge: Provides emergency accommodation for women and children when they are most in need. The Freephone 24-hour National Domestic Violence Helpline helps women find spaces in refuges across the UK. Call 0808 2000 247. The police and social services can also put you in touch with them.

National Centre for Domestic Violence (NCDV): Offers free legal support to any survivor of domestic violence, by helping individuals get emergency injunctions, usually within 24 hours. Call 0844 8044 999.

Rights of Women: Offers free confidential specialist legal advice in domestic violence to women on their advice lines.  Call 020 7251 6577 for family law, 020 7251 8887 for criminal law, or 020 7490 7689 for immigration and asylum law.

WORTH Services: an Independent Domestic (IDVA) Service here to support people affected by domestic abuse in West Sussex. Call 01283 600300.

St Jude's Women's Refuge: Helps women and their children who have suffered from domestic abuse in Rother district and Hastings. Call 01424 732060.

Chichester Shared House: (Chichester)  Provides a refuge and an outreach service. Call 01243 839376.

Worthing Women's Aid: (Worthing, Littlehampton and Bognor Regis)  Provides a helpline, counselling service, refuge accommodation, an outreach service, a children's service and a Freedom Programme support group. Call 01903 219994 or 01903 231939.

Domestic Abuse Outreach Service: (Chichester district) Advises and supports female or male victims of domestic abuse. Call 07954 688 469.

Ashiana: Provides refuge accommodation and support services to Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee women, children and young people who are survivors of partner and family abuse, including forced marriages and honour-based violence, or trafficking. Call 0114 255 5740.

Broken Rainbow: Supports lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people experiencing domestic violence. Call 0300 999 5428.

CRI: (Crime Reduction Initiative) Works with individuals, families and communities across England and Wales that are affected by drugs, alcohol, crime, homelessness, domestic abuse, and antisocial behaviour. Call 01273 677 019.

Action on Elder Abuse: Works to protect, and prevent the abuse of, vulnerable older adults. Call 0808 8088141.

The Worth Project: A project that trains all relevant staff in A&E and Maternity Departments in West Sussex to undertake screening for domestic violence, with on-site advocacy support.  

Jewish Women's Aid: Provides a refuge, helpline and outreach support for Jewish women and their children affected by domestic abuse.  Call 0808 801 0500.

Adur Community Alarm and Telecare Service: Provides a small portable trigger and alarm unit, for 24 hour, 365 day cover, for people who are vulnerable through domestic violence. Call 01273 263390.

National Stalking Helpline: provides guidance and information to anybody who is currently or has previously been affected by harassment or stalking. Call 0300 636 0300.

Victim Support: Offers help to anyone affected by crime - victims, witnesses, friends and family. This can include emotional support, information and practical help, either over the phone or face-to-face. Call 0845 3030 900.
