Support with giving your evidence
Support with giving your evidence
If you are scared of going to court, or you feel you need more support with giving your evidence, we can ask for a range of Special Measures to help you. We'll apply to the court who'll decide whether they'll be granted.
Navigate away from this site quickly.
Special Measures can include:
- using a remote video link - so you can give evidence from a different place
- using screens in court so the defendant can't see you, and you can't see them
- using communication aids like symbol or alphabet books
- using Intermediaries, who can help you communicate with the court
- clearing the public gallery.
If you would like the court to consider special measures for you, discuss this with your Witness Care officer.
