Report abuse of a child

If you are a child suffering abuse…

You do not have to suffer abuse in silence; we can and will help you.

If you are in danger now or you need to see a doctor urgently, dial 999 for the police and an ambulance.

Emergency contact for people with hearing or speech impairment.

If you are not in in danger now, call Sussex Police on 101 or visit your local police station.

If you do not feel confident about contacting the police you can call ChildLine on 0800 1111

If you suspect a child is being abused…

If you believe a child is in immediate danger or needs urgent medical attention, dial 999 for the police and an ambulance.

If the child is not in immediate danger, call Sussex Police on 101 or visit your local police station.

If you have concerns about someone's access to a child, and want to ask the police about that person's record of child sex offences, you can submit a Child Sex Offender Disclosure Form.

If no-one is in immediate danger but you are concerned that abuse is taking place, contact Child Social Care services in your Local Authority.
