Ghost hunting for charity
PCSOs Kevin Brown and Karen Shaw, along with colleagues from Shoreham Academy, have just completed a couple of hair-raising nights at Michelham Priory and Cowdray Castle - all in the name of charity.
They are aiming to raise as much money as possible for The Royal Brompton Children's Cardiac Centre and The Sussex Police Charitable Trusts.
Kevin is passionate about raising funds for the two charities after his two year old daughter had cardiac surgery and is scheduled to undergo further life-saving surgery later this year. Kevin was very impressed with the care his daughter received at the Cardiac Centre and was also grateful for the support The Sussex Police Charitable Trusts were able to give. Unfortunately the Children's Cardiac Centre is under threat of closure and Kevin is determined to help raise funds to save it - even if that means sleeping in some of the most haunted places in the UK.
Kevin commented, "It was a great experience which I found very thrilling...even though I did get quite scared! I think that we were mainly sceptical before going to the Priory, but we definitely all had moments where we were afraid and believed that 'other forces' were present."
The ghost hunters are hoping that people will give generously towards these causes.
Kevin would like to thank everyone that has generously donated so far. If you would like to donate please make contact via email Kevin.Brown@shoreham-academy.org
