The District Commander is Chief Inspector
The team is comprised of Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers, Special Constables and staff members who are all dedicated to working together with local partnership agencies and communities to keep Sussex safe.

We work closely with local people to identify neighbourhood priorities and work on solutions and actions to address these priorities. If you would like to get involved in priority setting for your community please contact your PC or PCSO.

Your officers are readily available at local meetings and events, via phone, email or by visiting a local Police Station, Public Contact Point, or Community Hub.


Lewes Police Station Opening Hours: Mon-Fri 10:00am - 2:00pm, Closed Saturday,Sunday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Bank Holidays

To report non-urgent crimes or incidents please call 101.

Priority 1. Concern for traffic speeds on White Hill and Mount Pleasant

Local officers will continue to monitor the situation. Members of the public are asked to report inconsiderate, illegal or anti-social parking to police on 101, on the Sussex Police website or via www.operationcrackdown.org.

Priority 2. Dog Fouling is an ongoing problem around the Wallands area of Lewes.

Local Officers are looking at carrying dog poo bags and interacting more with dog walkers in the neighbourhood. Residents are asked to contact Lewes District Council on 01273 484999.

Priority 3. Anti social behaviour and Nuisannce Youths in the Wallands area of Lewes.

We are aware of a few youths and groups that meet in the Wallands area that have caused problems to residents. Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and our Neighbourhood Polcing teams specifically focused on this problem and work with partner agencies to tackle these types of issues.
