Lewes Neighbourhood Policing Team comes under Lewes District Neighbourhood Policing Team

The District Commander is Chief Inspector Rob Leet
The team is comprised of Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers, Special Constables and staff members who are all dedicated to working together with local partnership agencies and communities to keep Sussex safe.

We work closely with local people to identify neighbourhood priorities and work on solutions and actions to address these priorities. If you would like to get involved in priority setting for your community please contact your PC or PCSO.

Your officers are readily available at local meetings and events, via phone, email or by visiting a local Police Station, Public Contact Point, or Community Hub.

These meetings are held in your community by your local PCSO.

Local priorities

Priority 1.Issues with Refuse collection in Landport and Pells area of Lewes was raised on 12 June by the Neighbourhood Panel.

We have passed this information to our partner agency Lewes District Council to deal. The date of the next panel meeting is to be confirmed in due course.

Priority 2. Anti Social Behaviour around the Landport and Pells area was raised on 12 June by the Neighbourhood Panel.

We are aware of a few youths and groups that meet in the area and are causing problems to residents. Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and our Neighbourhood Policing Teams specifically focused on this problem and work with partner agencies to tackle these types of issues.The date of the next panel meeting is to be confirmed in due course.

Priority 3. Anti social parking and vehicle crime in and around the Landport and Pells area was raised on 12 June by the Neighbourhood Panel.

Parking - Offending vehicles are traced and if casuing obstructions, removed and given a fixed penalty notice. Vehicle Crime - on going patrols with crime prevention advice given to residents in hot spot areas. The date of the next panel meeting is to be confirmed in due course.
