Assault at Crawley

Sussex Police are investigating a serious assault that occurred
outside the Centaur Club, Langley Green, Crawley, on
Saturday evening (21 August).
A 30-year-old Polish man, believed from the Crawley area, suffered
serious head injuries and is in a critical condition at a London
hospital where he was transferred to from the New East Surrey
Hospital.
DI Pierre Serra, who is heading the investigation, said: "We are
gathering information on what happened outside the club last night
that led to this man being so seriously injured. He is in a
critical condition and we are urgently seeking his next of
kin.
"There had been a private party taking place when we were called at
11.20pm to a disturbance at the club entrance. We are working
closely with the club and are urgently appeal for witnesses to
contact us."
Four people - a man aged 28 from Westerham, Kent; and women - one
31 from Derbyshire, a 29 year old from Crawley and a 48 year old
from Pulborough - are currently in custody in relation to public
order offences and assault.
Police are urgently appealing for any witnesses who may have been
at the club for a private party or anyone who may have been in the
area at the time to contact them on 0845 6070999 quoting Operation
