Two men arrested in relation to Crawley shooting
25 August 2010
Officers investigating a shooting at Crawley have arrested two men from Birmingham.
The men, aged 30 and 48, were arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning for attempted murder during planned searches of two homes in Birmingham and have been taken to Brighton custody centre to be interviewed.
The arrests follow an incident in which a 29-year-old man suffered gun pellets to his leg when he answered his door to a gunman in Park Way, Crawley, on 3 August.
DCI Nick Sloan, from Major Crime Branch, said: "Intelligence has been key in this complex investigation and we have been working with colleagues outside of Sussex to progress the inquiry. The shooting had not been a random attack and we are grateful for the information that we have received."
