Op Halwell: Two men charged with attempted murder

Detectives have charged two men with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, after the attempted murder of a 40-year-old man in Crawley on 3 August.

Daniel Martin, 30, of Sherborne Street, Birmingham, and Delroy Hare, 50, of Fleet Street, Birmingham, have been charged today (Saturday 28 August) and will remain in custody until they appear before Brighton Magistrates' Court on Monday 30 August.

Detective Chief Inspector Nick Sloan, from Sussex Police Major Crime Branch, said: "This is a fast-moving, dynamic and intelligence-driven operation. The inquiry remains very much active."

A 50-year-old man, arrested for attempted murder on 7 August, and has been bailed to 26 October.
