Man arrested for assault in Eastbourne

A 25-year-old man from Hailsham was arrested on suspicion of ABH
in Elms Avenue on Sunday 22 August at around 2.50am.
The man is alleged to have punched a 22-year-old man from Bexhill
in the face and then head butted his 22-year-old male friend from
Battle. Both victims were treated at Eastbourne District General
Hospital for their injuries and later released.
The victims were part of a small group walking along Elms Avenue
towards Cavendish Place after leaving the Atlantis bar.
The suspect has been bailed until Monday 25 October pending further
enquiries.
