Motorcyclist seriously injured in Sompting collision

A motorcyclist sustained serious leg and back injuries after
colliding with a van on the A27 in Sompting at around 6pm yesterday
(Wednesday 1 September).
The 45-year-old man from Sompting was driving a black Suzuki
motorcycle when he collided with a white Ford van and was taken to
Worthing Hospital. The 42-year-old man from Pevensey driving the
van was uninjured.
The collision occurred at the junction of Busticle Lane and
Hailwick Lane. Road diversions at the A24 and A27 junction were in
place and Bostal Lane was temporarily closed until around
8.50pm.
