Girl injured in Southwick collision - update

A two-year-old girl who was injured in a collision with a car in Southwick on Sunday is in a stable condition in hospital.
 
Police attended the A259 Albion Street at approximately 3.50pm yesterday (Sunday 29 January) following the collision with a blue Volvo driven by a 57-year-old woman from Brighton.
 
The girl was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in a critical condition suffering from serious head and internal injuries. She has been transferred to Kings College London and her condition is now described as stable.
 
The road was closed for just over an hour.
 
Anyone with information regarding the collision is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting Operation Boundary.
