Man charged with assault against elderly care home residents

Michael Deboick, 43, of Welton Rise, St Leonards-on-Sea, has
been charged today (Friday 10 February) with two counts of assault
against adults in his care back in May 2011.
The vulnerable victims, aged 73 and 85, suffered injuries including
bruising and a broken hip.
East Sussex County Council initially referred their concerns to
Sussex Police and a joint agency safeguarding investigation led by
East Sussex Adult Protection Team, was launched. Deboick was
arrested on 16 December 2011 on suspicion of grievous bodily harm,
following allegations that he had mistreated two elderly men
whilst employed as a night carer at Mount Denys Residential Care
Home, The Ridge, Hastings.
Deboick has been bailed to appear at Hastings Magistrates on the 24
February.
