Shop break-ins in Worthing
Shop break-ins in Worthing
10 February 2012
Two shops in Worthing were broken into overnight and police
are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything
suspicious.
It is believed that the burglars broke into one of the stores
in South Street in order to gain access to another, which was next
door, to steal the safe.
The break-ins are thought to have happened at about 10.40pm
last night (February 9) and detectives would particularly like to
hear from anyone who saw upto three people wheeling a
white washing macine-sized object along Warwick Street.
A police spokesman said: "We are hoping that by releasing this
information it might jog someone's memory. If you were in the area
at the time and saw something unusual then we would ask you to pick
up the phone and contact police as soon as possible, quoting serial
0209 of February 10."
