Sussex Police People Live Event

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic abuse, talk to us, we can help.

We are launching a campaign to raise awareness of the issues surrounding domestic abuse and the support available for victims. On Friday 14 December we held several events, including a 24-hour Tweetathon, two live web-chats and the release of a new video featuring Sussex Police officers and staff. Find out more about the events on this page.

Below you can read the live web-chats during which representatives from the Sussex Police Adult Protection Team and the Anti-Victimisation Unit were joined by specialists from domestic abuse charity Rise.

These chats were an opportunity for people to ask questions and seek advice and support about any issue related to domestic abuse.

Our online Help Centre includes advice for anyone affected by domestic abuse. Click here to access this guidance and here to view a list of other organisations that you can contact for support.
