Woman robbed of her purse in Crawley

A woman had her purse stolen when she was walking back from shopping in Broadfield Barton in Crawley on Saturday (October 10).

The victim was returning home after shopping at 5.45pm and was carrying two bags when she was grabbed from behind and the suspect tried to take her purse.

He knocked her glasses off and managed to grab her purse before running the direction of Sneddon Court in Broadfield.

The suspect is described as black, in his late 30s, 6ft, skinny with black but greying stubble. He was wearing a black jacket with black lapels on the top of the shoulders with the hood up.

Anyone with information or saw anyone matching this description is asked to contact police on 101 quoting serial 1230 of 10/11.
