Appeal after man tries to kiss woman in St Leonards-on-Sea

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a
29-year-old woman who was approached in Pevensey Road, St
Leonards-on-Sea, on Thursday, 7 February. The victim was walking
alone when the assault took place at 6pm.
A man is reported to have stopped and spoken to the woman. He then
tried to kiss her, she rejected his advances by pushing him away.
The man then ran away back up Pevensey Road.
The woman received no injuries but felt shaken by what
happened.
The suspect is described as male, aged 40, 5' 9" of stocky build
and with dark short cropped hair. He had short facial
stubble.
