Local Action Teams (LATs)

Fighting crime and disorder is a team game and Sussex Police recognises we cannot do it all on our own.

We are already working in crime reduction partnerships, but we want to encourage communities to get involved in helping to resolve problems in their local areas.

One method which is proving effective, both locally and nationally, is where local people come together to form Local Action Teams. These can work alongside our Neighbourhood Policing Teams. We will advise you on the best way to do this and offer you some practical help in getting yourselves started.

For more information about LATs in your area, speak to an officer in your neighbourhood.
