Local priorities
There were worries about the speeding vehicles through the villages - this is ongoing.
Issue raised on 25 Apr 2012
Speed checks have been and are being carried out on a regular basis at set sites to try to make the public more aware of speeding and its inherent dangers. This is ongoing.
More motorists have been stopped speeding. Warning letters and tickets have been given to offending drivers.
Action taken on 26 Apr 2012
There were concerns over parking issues specifically in the High St, Station Road, George Hill, Fair Lane, Mill Rise and Langham Road - this is ongoing.
Issue raised on 25 Apr 2012
Parking tickets have been and are issued to all vehicles parked illegally when they are found.
This is an ongoing concern which will continue to be addressed until all drivers park correctly.

Crime Mapper

Crime mapping is part of a national initiative to enable members of the public to be apprised of crime levels in their area. The Sussex Police system provides crime levels at three levels: Force-wide, Districts, Wards/beats
How to read crime mapping data
For some smaller areas, the crime rates may appear high. This is primarily due to the low resident population within these areas; crime rates are calculated by dividing the actual number of crimes by the resident population and then multiplying by 1,000. Crime levels are then calculated using standard deviation, a way of fairly measuring and comparing the spread of crime across the force from area to area.
