Local priorities
Priority agreed at the Crowborough East Ward and Jarvis Brook Ward joint Neighbourhood Policing Panel held on 11/05/2012.
What you said:
Vehicles are being driven along the pavement at two specific locations at Western Road, Crowborough. This is due to the narrow road, and residents' cars being parked on the opposite side.
Issue raised on 11 May 2012
What we did:
Crowborough NPT will increase directed patrols at the location, for three reasons: to examine the specifics of the problem; to help to deter it from happening; and to increase chances of enforcement.
What Happened:
Due to restricted powers, PCSO will report any witnessed incidents via Operation Crackdown where appropriate. PC Waters will conduct patrols and actively consider enforcement.
Residents and specifically the Western Road Residents' Group have been urged to note details of incidents and report via Operation Crackdown.
Action taken on 11 May 2012
Crime Mapper
Go to Crime mapper site
Crime mapping is part of a national initiative to enable members of the public to be apprised of crime levels in their area. The Sussex Police system provides crime levels at three levels: Force-wide, Districts, Wards/beats
How to read crime mapping data
For some smaller areas, the crime rates may appear high. This is primarily due to the low resident population within these areas; crime rates are calculated by dividing the actual number of crimes by the resident population and then multiplying by 1,000. Crime levels are then calculated using standard deviation, a way of fairly measuring and comparing the spread of crime across the force from area to area.
