If you are assessed at high risk of domestic abuse your case will be referred to a local Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC).

Each MARAC is attended by several local agencies. This includes the police, adult and children’s social care, housing, probation, health and education.

During the meeting each agency will discuss current high risk cases of domestic abuse and identify any support that they can be provided.

The MARAC provides an opportunity for all agencies to work together to keep you safe.

SafeLives provides national advice and guidance on the MARAC process.

Within Sussex, regular MARAC meetings are held in each part of the county.
