I'd like to find out what I need to do having received the letter/notice
You need to complete and sign part one/section A of the notice and return it to the address shown on the form within 28 days.
You'll normally then be sent a conditional offer of a fixed penalty £100 fine and have three penalty points added to your licence. However, you may be eligible for a National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme course instead.
If you don't respond to the notice your case will be referred to court because you failed to provide the information you were asked for to the Police.
Don't send any payment or your driving licence to the Police.
High speed offences
If you've been recorded at what's considered a high speed it will be referred to court in the first instance. You'll still need to return the completed form and once it's processed you'll receive a court summons.
