CSAS - accredited organisations

Horsham District Council has a number of accredited Neighbourhood Wardens with the following powers: 

  • Power to stop cycles when accredited person has reasons to believe that a person has committed the offence of riding on a footpath.
  • Power to require the name and address of a person whom an accredited person has reasons to believe has committed a relevant offence (such as causing injury, alarm or distress to any other person or the loss or damage to any person's property, or a relevant Fixed Penalty Offence).
  • Power to require name and address of a person acting in an anti-social manner.
  • Power to require persons aged under 18 to surrender alcohol and to dispose of any alcohol.
  • Power to seize tobacco from a person aged under 16 and to dispose of it.

Crawley Borough Council has a number of accredited Neighbourhood Wardens with the following powers:

  • Power to require the name and address of a person whom an accredited person has reasons to believe has committed a relevant offence (such as causing injury, alarm or distress to any other person or the loss or damage to any person's property, or a relevant Fixed PenaltyOffence).
  • Power to require name and address of a person acting in an anti-social manner.
  • Power to require persons drinking in a designated place to surrender alcohol and to dispose of any alcohol.
  • Power to require persons aged under 18 to surrender alcohol and to dispose of any alcohol.
  • Power to seize tobacco from a person aged under 16 and to dispose of it.

The University of Brighton has a number of security officers with the following powers:

  • Power to require the name and address of a person whom an accredited person has reason to believe has committed a relevant offence (such as causing injury, alarm or distress to any other person or the loss or damage to any person's property, or a relevant Fixed Penalty Offence).
  • Power to require name and address of a person acting in an anti-social manner.
  • Power to require persons aged under 18 to surrender alcohol and to dispose of any alcohol surrendered.
  • Power to seize tobacco from a person aged under 16 and to dispose of it.

Beacon Facilities Management Ltd. has a number of Traffic Marshals with the following powers:

  • Power to control traffic for purposes other than escorting a load of exceptional dimensions.
  • Power to require name and address for road traffic offences.
  • Also providing a small team of 'street safe' wardens for the University of Sussex.

SWL Security Services has a number of accredited Business/Community Wardens with the following powers:

  • Power to require name and address for anti-social behaviour.
  • Power to deal with begging.
  • Power to require persons drinking in a designated places to surrender alcohol.
  • Power to require persons aged under 18 to surrender alcohol.
  • Power to require the name and address of a person whom an accredited person has reason to believe has committed a relevant offence.
