Motorcyclist dies after Gatwick airport collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died at Gatwick airport.

Emergency services were called to Perimeter Road South at around 2pm on Friday (March 10) to a collision involving a black VW Passat and a grey Yamaha.

The motorcyclist, a 25-year-old man from Crawley, was flown to St George's Hospital in London but sadly died at hospital.

The 42-year-man who was driving the Passat was uninjured.

Police are seeking to speak to the driver of a black BMW seen travelling on the Perimeter Road South prior to the collision who may be a key witness.

Anyone who saw what happened, or the vehicles prior to the collision, are asked to contact police online or on collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting Operation Abode.
