Man found not guilty of charges in relation to Hastings assault

James Robus, 31, of All Saints Crescent, Hastings, has been found not guilty of three charges in relation to an assault on a woman on the West Hill in Hastings.
He had been charged with attempted robbery, wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, and wounding / inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent, but was acquitted of all three.
A jury returned its verdict at Lewes Crown Court on Friday (December 11) following a week-long trial.
The charges related to an assault around 9.30pm on December 27, 2019, in which a woman suffered serious facial injuries.
