With deepest sorrow we offer our heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family on the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The Queen dedicated her life to public service and as a mark of respect, Union Flags will be flown at half-mast on our buildings during this time of national mourning.
May she rest in peace.
Chief Constable Jo Shiner said: “On behalf of every member of Sussex Police, I send my deepest condolences to the Royal Family and members of the Royal Household.
“Since the announcement of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen I have reflected, as I imagine every police officer has, on the oath I swore to Her Majesty.
“It has been my honour to serve Her Majesty and I know her unwavering devotion to a lifetime of service will be an enduring memory for us all.”
