Detectives investigating an armed robbery at a Tesco Express store in Goring have arrested a man.
A man walked into the store in Goring Way on Saturday (21 October) at about 7.50am, threatened the staff at knifepoint and demanded cash from the till.
He made off with £150. No was harmed.
A 20-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of committing robbery at the Tesco Express and a further two robberies which were reported on Sunday morning (22 October) at the Co-op store and Salvington Food Centre in Salvington Road, Worthing. He is currently in custody.
The investigation is ongoing and officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the incidents.
