A suspect has been charged in connection with a serious assault in Eastbourne on Sunday 9 February.
Emergency services were called to Hazelwood Avenue, Eastbourne at around 1.25pm to reports of a man having sustained serious injuries, consistent with a stabbing.
A 57-year-old local man was taken to hospital for treatment. He is currently in a stable condition.
David Clark, 58, from Eastbourne has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a bladed article and dangerous driving.
He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear before Brighton Court on 11 February.
Police are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident, however anyone who has information is urged to come forward.
