Officers assaulted and threatened with Covid-19 at Eastbourne property

Three women have been charged after officers were assaulted while responding to reports of a house party in Eastbourne.
Police were called to Edgeland Terrace around 9.45pm on Wednesday (April 8) to reports of a gathering inside a property.
Officers attended the address, where they were threatened with being deliberately exposed to Covid-19 by way of being spat at.
One officer was assaulted and suffered an injury to his head that required hospital treatment.
Bayleigh Meadows, 21, unemployed, of Lottbridge Drove, Eastbourne, was arrested and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray.
Millie Robinson, 21, unemployed, of Edgeland Terrace, Eastbourne, was arrested and charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker and affray.
They are both due to appear before magistrates tomorrow (Saturday, April 11).
Nicole Stonestreet, 20, unemployed, of Seaside, Eastbourne, has been charged with assaulting an emergency worker and affray. She has been released on bail until a later date.
