Second man charged with armed robbery in Worthing

Police investigating a report of an armed robbery in Worthing have charged a second man.
Officers were called to Worthing News in Rowlands Road at 4.30pm on Thursday, 3 December following a report that staff had been threatened by two men with a firearm. Four bottles of vodka and around £400 cash was reportedly taken from the till.
One victim was assaulted and suffered a minor injury.
Dale Benjamin Searle, 32, of no fixed address, has been charged with robbery and possession of an imitation firearm. He appeared at Crawley Magistrates' Court on Monday (21 December) and has been remanded to appear at Lewes Crown Court on 18 January.
On 8 December, Danny Cobbold, 32, of Winterbourne Close in Worthing was charged with robbery, assault thereby causing actual bodily harm and possession of an imitation firearm.
