Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted by a passenger while driving near Horsham.
The incident occurred on the A264 at Kilnwood Vale, about 2.40pm on Monday 27 January.
The woman managed to drive her grey VW Golf to Holmbush Potteries Estate to seek help, where the suspect got out of the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.
A 34-year-old man from Crawley, who is known to the victim, has since been arrested on suspicion of assault, criminal damage, making threats to damage property and harassment without violence.
He has been released on conditional bail until 28 April as enquiries continue.
Police are urging anyone who saw what happened or capture it on dash cam to report it online or call 101, quoting crime reference 47250016628.
