Police looking to identify driver who was flagged down after Eastbourne assault

Police investigating a stabbing in Eastbourne town centre are looking to identify a person they believe could help with their enquiries.
Officers attended Terminus Road just after 8.30pm on Saturday, April 10 after a 17-year-old boy suffered serious wounds to the stomach. He was taken to hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.
Police believe a vehicle was flagged down by two men in Gildredge Road shortly after the assault, around 8.45pm. Officers are keen to speak to the driver of this vehicle as part of their ongoing enquiries.
Anyone who has any information is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting Operation Parkham. Alternatively, information can be passed to police anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Two men have been charged with wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. They are next due to appear in court on May 14.
