Two men have been taken to hospital with serious injuries after an incident in Eastbourne.
It follows a report of a stabbing in Firle Road about 9.26pm on Tuesday 18 August.
Officers swiftly responded to the scene, which remains secured for forensics investigations.
A 21-year-old man from Bexhill has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is in police custody at this stage.
This was an isolated incident and police are not seeking anyone else in connection with it at this time.
Of the victims, a 37-year-old local man remains in hospital this morning (Wednesday 19 August) in a stable condition; a 33-year-old local man has since been discharged.
Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information about the incident is asked to report it online or call 101, quoting Operation Gradient.
