Police seeking information after cats shot by air rifle in Sompting

Police are appealing for information following reports of two injured cats which are believed to have been shot by an air rifle in Sompting.

One was found with an air rifle pellet in its leg on Monday, 9 October, while another cat was found with a pellet in its lung on Sunday, 15 October. Both cats are recovering.

The incidents took place in The Lawns, Sompting and are believed to be linked.

Officers are investigating the incidents and residents are urged to come forward with any information.
