Police are continuing to investigate a collision in Eastbourne in which a man sadly died.
Emergency services were called to Upperton Road around 7.50pm on Wednesday (July 26) after a 75-year-old man from Eastbourne was struck by a car as he used a zebra crossing, near the junction with Ocklynge Road.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
An investigation was launched and six people were arrested. They have since been released on bail while enquiries continue.
Police are not seeking any further arrests at this stage but are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to assist the ongoing investigation.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, captured any relevant CCTV or dashcam footage, or saw a dark-coloured saloon vehicle with a damaged windscreen in the area, is asked to contact [email protected] quoting Operation Broomfield.
