Police are investigating an assault in Eastbourne on Wednesday (October 6) in which a man was attacked and sprayed with a potentially noxious substance.
Officers were called to Belmore Road at around 10.30am to reports of a man having been assaulted.
On arrival the victim, a 52-year-old local man, said he had been attacked by two men and sprayed in the face with an unknown liquid.
He was taken to hospital by the ambulance service, where he was treated for minor injuries.
Officers conducted a search of the area but were unable to locate the suspects.
