Woman arrested after two robberies in Worthing town centre

Police are appealing for witnesses to two robberies in Worthing town centre.
Both incidents took place on Monday (August 10) - one in Liverpool Gardens around 6pm and one in Warwick Street around 7.30pm.
In the first robbery, a woman had money and personal items stolen from inside her bag and suffered minor injuries to her neck not requiring hospital treatment.
In the second incident, a woman had personal possessions stolen and suffered minor facial injuries not requiring hospital treatment.
Officers investigating the robberies are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed either incident, or who has any other information about what happened.

A 30-year-old woman from Worthing has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of robbery. She has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
