Your Children and Young Persons Care Coordinator can help with concerns in a variety of areas including general health, mental health, special educational needs, sexual health and sexuality (LGBTQ), bereavement, online safety and safeguarding.
Help with managing your child’s behaviour, supporting their development or their emotional wellbeing, or building a positive relationship with them.
The project looks to increase self-esteem, wellbeing and encourage positive engagement with education as a whole – not just in school.
A range of youth-led activities outside school on a 12-week programme include informal education opportunities such as life skills, creative skills and workshops. They also organise trips to forest schools, alternative education provisions and volunteer opportunities.
The Newhaven Youth Centre, planned and designed with help from local young people, offers a dedicated space just for them and is being used for a wide range of activities including youth clubs, music, art, mental health and well-being support.
