Honour Based Abuse (HBA), Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), Forced Marriage (FM) and Abuse Linked to Faith or Belief (ALFB) are illegal in the UK and are considered a violation of human rights and a form of abuse. These types of abuse come under the widely used umbrella term ‘Harmful Practices’.
