This policy provides instruction and guidance to Surrey Police and Sussex Police staff for their professional use of the internet to review and extract information for the purpose of intelligence gathering or to be used in evidence.

This policy covers the referral of victims and witnesses of crime in Sussex to victim and witness services for free help and advice. It covers the responsibilities of Citizens Advice Witness Service (CAWS) in their dealings with the Criminal Justice Unit (CJU) to support victims and witnesses through the court process.
