A Sussex Police officer has been charged with assaulting a colleague during a training exercise.
Police Constable Christian Field, 50, based on Brighton and Hove Division, has been charged with assault by beating.
The incident was reported to Sussex Police Professional Standards Department in December 2025 who undertook an investigation.
A file was submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service who subsequently authorised a charge of common assault.
PC Field was placed, and remains, on restricted duties.
PC Field will appear at Reading Magistrates Court on Wednesday (10 June).
