We are appealing for witnesses and information after a serious collision on Saturday 23 May at around 10.35pm.
The collision took place in Frederick Road, St Leonards at the junction with Clifton Road and involved a Vauxhall Mokka and a bicycle.
It was reported that the Vauxhall Mokka was travelling in Frederick Road and collided with the bike as it entered Clifton Road.
The cyclist, a 40-year-old man, was taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries where he currently remains.
No arrests have been made at this time.
Officers are pursuing multiple lines of enquiry in an ongoing investigation and encourage anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has relevant information such as mobile, doorbell or dashcam footage to report it to us.
