Encouraging, supporting and empowering Christians in living out their faith in Sussex Police and East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.
We are a group of Christians who are passionate about seeing Jesus move within the Emergency Services. Whether you are still exploring or already established in faith we welcome all staff to become part of our Christian family.
We are open to all regardless of background or circumstances and always welcome those exploring Christian faith to talk to us in confidence.
We gather together to encourage, support and pray for each other, pray for our workplaces, and do what we can to show God's love to our colleagues and communities.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service shares its offices with Sussex Police at Lewes Headquarters and in 2019 we decided to join together with East Sussex Fire Rescue Service colleagues, and create the Christian Police and Fire Network.
Sussex Police is part of the Christian Police Association, a national charity which has branches in the majority of the Police Forces in the UK. It is an amazing network of believers within the police service, and a source of great support and encouragement. For more information on the national Christian Police Association, please visit the National CPA website, a national network of police officers and staff who aim to:
The National CPA helps each branch to live out this national vision locally. It is incredible to have a vast network of believers who encourage, support, celebrate with and pray for each other, and wonderful to know that you belong in this big Christian police family.
Here for you
If you are a Christian, we are here to be part of your work family – to pray for you, support you and walk with you. If you are interested in finding out more about Jesus and what we believe, we would love to get to know you better and try to answer any questions you might have.
Here for our colleagues and communities
A key part of Christianity is to serve others, and we would like to serve our colleagues and communities. Be it through Christmas hampers for those in poverty in Sussex, introducing a partnership with Christians Against Poverty to provide first-class free debt help, or simply being a listening ear when you've had a difficult shift, we would like to serve and support you in any way we can.
Here for Sussex Police
We seek to provide a voice for Christians in Sussex Police, helping our force to be as inclusive as possible.
Our vision is to:
We exist to encourage, support and empower Christians to live out their faith at work, to build a community of Christians in Sussex Police and East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, and to share our faith with our colleagues and communities.
