Unfortunately, there are those who abuse their powers or behave in an inappropriate or unprofessional ways which undermines the integrity of the police service, letting the public down as well as the honest majority of officers and staff who work for Sussex Police.
From July 2023, every six months, Sussex Police will proactively publicise anonymised data on concluded sexual misconduct cases here.
Find out more about our misconduct hearings.
We must act with integrity and maintain our professional boundaries with the public and with colleagues. When an abuse of position or incidences of sexual misconduct are reported, it will be thoroughly investigated by our Anti-Corruption Unit.
If you hear or know about a Sussex Police officer or member of staff who leverages their police powers for sex or other personal benefits, for example propositions a person who they have come into contact with through their job, perhaps a victim of crime, or makes contact on social media or in person for reasons other than official business, please report it.

The report is presented as an MS Excel spreadsheet. If you require the data in another format or have specific accessibility requirements please email [email protected].
