Drug Harm Reduction

Targeting drug related crime in your town through intelligence, enforcement and partnership work.

•Enhanced patrols with officers paying passing attention to reported areas at peak times to identify individuals involved, and act as a deterrent to those conducting criminal activity in the area.

•Continued police led operations, targeting known areas of drug use and drug dealing, as well as partnership work around known addresses causing drug harm in your area.

Anti-social behaviour (ASB), and youth related crime and disorder (e.g. youth related ASB, large groups or threatening behaviours)

Swiftly responding to incidents of ASB and effectively using policing powers available to intervene - including powers of dispersal where the actions of individuals or groups impact their wider surroundings; which can lead to wider harm, including the misuse of public spaces or buildings, criminal damage or vandalism, for example graffiti or damage to public buildings.

•Continued patrols in areas of reported anti-social behaviour, officers continue to patrol park areas and open spaces reported by communities as areas of high ASB.

•Neighbourhood Youth officers continuing visiting local schools, with a focus on raising awareness of ASB outside of school hours, and looking to identify opportunities for early intervention with individuals at risk of causing ASB.
