Antisocial Driving and Speeding
Issued 12 May 2026
We continue to engage with local communities and stakeholders to listen to their concerns surrounding anti-social road related issues.
speeding issues-
We have conducted speed management checks with the speed gun alongside the local Parish clerk. Within an hour four drivers were stopped and spoken to about their speeding, and one driver was issued a S59 for excess speed. We have also done a few speed gun sessions where drivers were reported to Operation Crackdown.
We continue to support and promote force-wide campaigns, targeted operations with specialist units, and road related activity including Operation Downsway deployments.
We also liaise with local Community Speedwatch groups, deploy officers for speed checks, as well as encourage residents to utilise the Operation Crackdown service for reporting.

Antisocial Behaviour (ASB)
Issued 12 May 2026
The Neighbourhood Policing Team continues to carry out regular patrols, focusing on areas and times where reports of ASB have been made.
We work closely with partners to tackle this type of behaviour, identify those responsible, and manage persistent offenders and locations.
We also continue to carry out intervention work with local schools and youth groups through our dedicated Neighbourhood Youth Officers.
Where youth ASB is being reported, our Neighbourhood Youth Officers (NYOs) work closely with individuals involved. This is in conjunction with other support and partner agencies, to divert young people away from this pattern of behaviour.

Retail Crime
Issued 12 May 2026
The Neighbourhood Policing Team continues to target persistent offenders and engage with partners and local businesses to offer support, conduct preventative work where appropriate and patrol areas of concern.
Our PCSO's visit local retailers offering advice on how to report retail crime which includes shoplifting and abuse towards staff and customers.
We provide support to retailers on signing up to the retail crime reporting system 'DISC'.
Additionally, we support 'Shop Kind' campaigns throughout the year, raising public awareness on retail crime.
Alongside foot patrols at peak times, we have visited stores to speak to the store managers. We have also assisted them and their staff members with helping the efficiency of their reporting to police.
